Child learning was difficult to capture consistently
Teachers needed a practical way to assess developmental progress against Kido's learning framework without relying on disconnected notes and memory.
Teachers use a scripted, AI-powered chatbot to capture structured developmental observations against Kido's learning framework.
Administrators create courses, share access with teachers and manage training, completion and certification through Kido Learning.
Connected workflows help Kido standardise processes and give management greater visibility across its schools.
About the client
Kido International is an early childhood education group operating nurseries, preschools and daycare centers across the UK and India, combining international pedagogy with technology to support children's learning and development.
Kido has been a long-term Gyde client since the company's early years. As Kido's needs evolved, so did the partnership—from individual requirements to building multiple platforms across its operations. Today, Kido School supports child learning and AI-guided developmental assessment, while Kido Learning helps administrators manage teacher training, courses, and certifications. Gyde also supports Kido's school-level compliance workflows, giving management greater visibility across sites.
The Challenge
Teachers needed a practical way to assess developmental progress against Kido's learning framework without relying on disconnected notes and memory.
PRMs and administrators needed structured information to understand how learning and development were progressing across children and schools.
Kido needed a central way to create courses, give teachers access and track their learning, completion and certification.
Daily inspections were managed via SafetyCulture, but leadership lacked a centralized reconciliation layer to identify missed checks across sites.
The Gyde Approach
Kido School gives administrators and PRMs a structured way to define assessment scripts around Kido's learning framework. Teachers can then follow the same process when assessing children's development, creating greater consistency across schools.
Instead of relying on lengthy forms, teachers use a scripted, AI-powered chatbot to work through assessments. The conversational experience guides teachers through each step while capturing observations, comments and structured assessment data.
Kido Learning gives administrators a central place to create and manage teacher courses. Courses can include SCORM-based learning content, with individual course links making it easier to give teachers access to the right learning experience.
Administrators can monitor user engagement, course attempts, passes, and learner performance at both individual and group levels, providing Kido with visibility into how training is progressing.
Completed learning can result in formal certificates, giving Kido a consistent way to recognize training completion. Administrators can track learning outcomes, while teachers receive branded certificates upon successful completion of required courses.
Gyde also connected Kido's SafetyCulture inspections to a central reconciliation workflow. Completed checks are matched against expected inspections across 21 UK sites, helping leadership identify missed checks without manually reviewing each location.
The outcome
Processes varied across people and locations.
Shared digital workflows create a more consistent experience across Kido's growing network.
Digital tools could add complexity to already busy teams.
Guided, role-specific experiences make key processes easier for teachers and administrators to adopt.
Leaders had to piece together information from different sources.
Structured data gives management a clearer view of activity and exceptions.
Behind the rollout
Teachers didn't sign up to learn a new system. Guided workflows mean they don't have to hunt for where something lives just to get through a normal day.
Digitizing a messy process just makes the mess move faster. Kido cut steps before automating anything; fewer handoffs, less to remember, less to get wrong.
A teacher's day doesn't look like a PRM's or an administrator's, so their screens shouldn't either. Each role gets what it actually needs instead of one interface everyone has to work around.
In their words
Gyde team one of the most agile teams to work with. They understand the business requirements & the support is incredible. Their platform is scalable & can be tuned very quickly to suit the business needs.
