Wait for a Date Based on an Attribute Value
- Click the clock icon between two activities.
- Click By Attribute.
- Select an attribute from the attribute library.Note If there is no attribute value when a contact reaches the wait or no row for the contactexists, the contact proceeds directly to the next activity.Note If the attribute is part of contact data, it is updated and added to in real time.Depending on the journey’s entry settings, contacts can sometimes continue in the journey whennew data is added to the data extension. If contacts should proceed based only on theattribute’s value when the contact entered the journey, use the attribute in journeydata.Note Only attributes with a datatype of Date are available for selection.
- Select unit and measure of time.
- To evaluate the end time, select an operator.
- If applicable, select an End Time.
- Select a time zone.Note The default time zone is set to the time zone set in User Preferences for the user thatconfigures the activity.
- Review and complete configuration.
