Wait by Attribute Example
- NTO creates an entry source data extension that includes as a field SeminarDate.
- NTO names the journey Fishing Seminars.
- NTO configures the Purchase Confirmation email.
- On the Wait Activity that follows the Purchase Confirmation email, NTO hovers over the activity and clicks Edit.
- The Wait Activity is automatically set to a wait period duration of 1 day. NTO clicks the tab labeled By Attribute. Note If there is no attribute value when acontact reaches the wait or no row for the contact exists, the contact proceeds directly tothe next activity.
- To select the attribute from the contact as they are admitted into the journey, NTO goes to Journey Data | Entry: Fishing Seminars.
- NTO selects SeminarDate.
- In Wait Settings, NTO configures the wait to 3 daysbefore. To ensure that the messages go out at a specified time, NTO specifies an end time of 9:00 AM, and specifies a time zone of (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).
