Use the Engagement Split Activity
- Drag the engagement split activity to a position on the canvas that follows at least one email activity.
- To configure the engagement split, select an email message. Journey Builder lists all applicable messages in activities that come before the engagement split in the journey. To use an email message, it must be created using the following email types. In Content Builder, use Template Based (standard or custom templates) or Paste HTML. In Classic Content, use Paste HTML emails.Note If you do not see any available links, upgrade to Content Builder and use adifferent template type.Note Links containing personalization strings or AMPScript arenot supported.

- Choose whether Journey Builder sends contacts down the Yes branch based on open, click, or bounce.Opens and clicks are tracked based on the first email send, which facilitates trackingopens or clicks the same email in the same journey in more than one place, or when contactscan re-enter a journey.Note Query parameters are not included in linkURLs.Note Bounces can occur for up to 72 hours following an email send. We recommendat least a three-day wait period between send time and when this activity sends the contact onthe Yes path.
