1. Assign one Marketing Cloud license per Distributed Marketing-enabled business unit.
2. Assign one of the following: standard (or equivalent) user license in Sales, Service, or Financial Services Cloud, Partner Community user license, or Partner Community user login per user.
3. Assign either the DMStandard License or DMAdministrator License permission sets in Sales, Service, Financial Services, or Partner Community Cloud. This permission set assigns the Distributed Marketing Standard and Administrator custom permissions and is installed with the managed package. If you need access to both standard and administrator features, assign the DMAdministrator permission set.
4. Assign the DMStandard or DMAdministrator permission set to your user. These permission sets provide access to Distributed Marketing objects and Visualforce pages. If you use custom permission sets or profiles, ensure that they include access to the Distributed Marketing objects and pages.
5. To view tracking for individual email sends completed through Distributed Marketing, apply the DMTracking user permission set installed through Marketing Cloud Connect.Note A MarketingCloud license isn’t required for standard Distributed Marketing users.
