Manage Data Extension Policies
- Click the data extension.
- Click Manage Policies.
- To allow deleting a data extension,choose Allow users to delete thisdata extension.
- To allow modifying existing attributes within the data extension, choose Allow users to modifyexisting attributes in this dataextension. This permission permits change the name of the attribute, the data type for the attribute, and other settings for the attribute.
- To allow creating entirely new attributes within the existing data extension, choose Allow users to addadditional attributes to this dataextension.
- To allow the application to delete information from a data extension based on a specified time period,choose All Records.
- To allow the application to delete a data extension and all information that data extension contains based on a specific time period, choose All records and dataextensions.
- Select Retention Period and enter the number of days after which the application deletes specified data extension or information.
- To reset the beginning of the retention period based on the occurrence of the last import of information to that data extension, choose Reset periodon import.
- Click Save.
