1. Create a custom report type for ideas. If you create a customreport type that uses Ideas as the primary object and Votes as thesecondary object, child (merged) ideas will not appear in the reportunless you select "A" records may or may not have related"B" records. Child ideas have no votes because their votesare transferred to the master idea. This means child ideas do notappear in a report if the Votes object is required.
2. Create a new public folder for idea reports. This step requiresthe “Manage Public Reports” permission.
3. Using your custom report type, create one or more new custom reportsfor ideas. Assign the reports to the new idea reports folder you created.
