Change the Theme Layout of Your Community’s Pages
- In Community Builder, click on the left sidebar and then click Theme.
- Select Configure to view and configure your theme layouts.
- If necessary, create a New Theme Layout.
- Assign the theme layout component to the theme layout.
- Update the theme layout’s settings, if available. The properties vary depending on how your developer has configured the theme layout component.For example, the Default layout component in the Customer Service theme includes the following options for the header region.Hide the header region and navigationHides the default community header, which includes the header image, search box, community menu, and user profile navigation menu, in all the community pages. Select this option if you want to replace the header with your own custom version.Hide notifications icon in community headerHides the notifications icon. Useful when you have a custom header or do not employ various notifications.Search ComponentReplaces the default Search and Post component with a custom component, if available.User Profile ComponentReplaces the default Profile Header component with a custom version, if available.However, the Default layout component for the Jepson theme has differentoptions.Show headerDisplays or hides the header.Fix the header’s positionPins the header to the top of the scrolling area so that it remains visiblewhile a customer is scrolling down through a long page. To see this working,publish and preview your site. It will not appear to function in Community Builder.Show heroDisplays or hides the theme’s hero image.Set max page widthSets the maximum width of the content across the page. Similar settings are inseveral component panels as well. The maximum width may be narrower than theoverall display size of the header or hero.
- To apply the theme layout, select Override the default theme layout for this page. (1) to display the Theme Layout options. Then, choose the new layout (2) from the available choices.
